The Laira Youth Brass Band - Welcome
The Laira Youth Brass Band has celebrated over 40 years of service to the community in Plymouth and the surrounding district.
Started in 1972 from the members of the Sunday school at Laira Congregational Church, it has performed hundreds of concerts over the years, in every corner of the City and beyond.
Scores of children have passed through its ranks. Most were taught to read music and to play their instrument whilst in the Band, and many have continued their musical hobby into adult life, some choosing a professional career in music.
